Patrick and I got up early to pray for protection and supply while we had our morning coffee. Then we took time to practice our new song, "Adonai - My Light and My Salvation" It is starting to come together quite nicely now! We picked up a few things we needed and Patrick had a couple of Hebrew Students. We cancelled our weekly class because some folks couldn't make it and we were actually relieved because we had all our packing to do. We are so thankful for the help of Carolyn and her girls, Hope and Hannah, and our dear friend Jerry who helped us prepare our home for our departure and to pack the van. Patrick did a terrific job playing "Tetris" and getting all the music equipment neatly arranged in the van, along with the marketplace items, and our personal items. We have someone house sitting for us and keeping our shepherd dog, and we are planning on heading out tomorrow morning at 5:30 am. We plan to stay in Bakersfield for the night. We are so excited!

Busy, busy, busy! We took the van in yesterday to have our dear mechanic friend check it to make sure it is safe and sound for the journey! Today I am heading to DMV to renew my license, after Patrick and I get a little practice in. Then I am off to get a MASSAGE to try to loosen up that pinched sciatic nerve that has been driving me crazy for the past 2 months! I found a sweet LMT who is bartering with me. Then I will pick up my dear autistic student and we will do the shopping we need for our trip... gotta get some "munchies" for the road that will also go along with our DUKAN diet! It has been worth it to do that diet! I am now nearly 50 pounds lighter, and Patrick about 40 pounds lighter. So we are lighter on our feet for dancing! LOL! We are so excited about the trip! AND if you haven't seen it, the new MCDI New Dance DVD is here, and features two of our songs! Please pray for our next CD project. We hope to go to the studio soon with the first 2 songs... click here Well, I have to say that we have been very very busy! Yesterday we had Sue Samuel and we had such a nice time of worship. It really was inspired. We played the song "Behind the Veil" that we have worked on for some time, and we changed a few lyrics here and there. I have to say, this is really a meaningful song with thrilling lyrics that really feed the soul. Patrick is the one who wrote this song, so those of you who know Patrick know that his Passion is Torah and the significance of Messhiach. So I can't wait for you all to hear it. Anyway, we had some very nice comments about that song.
Today we are off to play at a wedding in Salem, and then we are rushing back to Portland for "Yom Yerushalayim" put on by AFSI. We will play some "Jerusalem" music, have dancing and snacks and a few vendors. It will be lots of fun. Starting at 6:00 pm at the Fulton Community Center in Portland. |
